Hardwood, 2012
In “Hardwood”, the photographer Pedro David registers the steel industry expansion and the green deserts propagation through Brazil. Eucalyptus, raw material for obtaining the vegetal coal and the steel production, absorbs the water and depletes the soil nutrients, suffocating, thus, the fauna and the flora. In these areas, none specie can develop itself.

Pedro David lives and works in Nova Lima and Belo Horizonte – Brazil Photographer/visual artist, got his bachelors in Social Communication/Journalism at PUC-Minas, in 2001. He attended graduate in Arts and Contemporaneity in the Escola Guignard (UEMG, 2002). He has published the books: Fase Catarse (Catharsis Phase) - Fundação Municipal de Cultura de Belo Horizonte, 2104; Rota Raiz (Route Root) - Tempo D’Imagem, 2013 e O Jardim (The Garden) - Funceb, 2012; and Paisagem Submersa (Underwater Landscape), as coauthor - Cosac Naify, 2008.
