Shielded Landscape, 2013
In 2013, the country entered in boiling with protests and repression in the streets of the main brazilian cities. In Rio de Janeiro, the scene gains new appearance. The fear gets into scene and siding in buildings and commercial establishments façades arise as screens against violence coming from the streets. The series, winner of the Brazil Photography 2013 Prize, is a register of this moment.
5 imagesBruno started to photograph in the 80´s in national newspapers as, O Globo and Jornal do Brasil. From 1990, he starts to work as freelancer in Tyba Agency where he stays until 1995. In the same year, he set up the Strana Photo Agency. Since 2005, Bruno Veiga is associated with Estúdio da Gávea in Rio de Janeiro.
