Graduated in Journalism in the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ,1989), studied Filmmaking at IIIS - Institut Internationale de l'Image et du Son - in Saint-Quentin, Yvelines, France (1992) and Social-Science Anthropology at the University Sorbonne Paris VI (1993). Worked as a photojournalist in O Estado de São Paulo (1986-89). Photographed several films, such as A Glass of Rage, Mutum, The Mystery of Vap Sister and The Beloved. Participated in the collective Still at the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), in São Paulo (1999), and at Favela Chic, in Paris (2004). Attended the collective exposition Convergence (2009), at Galeria da Gávea, in Rio de Janeiro, and in the collective exhibtion Beach (2011). After 10 years of work, presented the series Girls of Rio (2011), which depicts the social changes in the homes and lives of women from the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. The series is part of the collections Maison Europeenne de la Photographie, Brazilian Fund Golden Arts, Museu de Arte do Rio.
