Alexandre Sant'Anna developed the series in Rio Negro in the Amazonian Forest. Through photographic metaphors, “Negro” illustrates personal sensations of Sant'anna who explores the chaotic and exuberant landscape, as a state of mind. The destabilizing beauty of these trees which float over the river.

Born in 1955 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. He graduated in Film Studies from the London International Film School and in Photography from the International Center of Photography in New York. Alexandre Sant´Anna worked in the main communication medias, such as Veja, Época, Isto É and Domingo (Jornal do Brasil) magazines.
